About Alpine

Pioneers in our industry, we have built our reputation on providing intelligent and energy-efficient HVAC solutions to homeowners. At Alpine, we're proud to maintain an exceptional customer satisfaction rating of 4.85 (out of 5), a testament to our unwavering commitment to delivering excellence.

About the Role

Alpine Home Air is seeking a Warehouse Operations & Quality Manager to lead daily execution at our primary fulfillment center outside Louisville, KY.

This role exists to ensure consistent, repeatable, high-quality execution of warehouse operations. The individual in this role owns how work actually gets done — enforcing standards, identifying gaps, correcting issues, and preventing recurrence.

This is a hands-on, high-accountability leadership role designed to create a true operational layer between executive leadership and the warehouse floor.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations Execution:

  • Own daily performance across receiving, inventory, picking, packing, shipping, and exceptions
  • Maintain continuous floor presence and immediate correction of deviations
  • Execute daily labor plans and adjust in real time
  • Ensure cycle counts, inventory accuracy, and FIFO discipline are followed

Quality & Process Control

  • Enforce strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Lead incoming and outbound quality inspections
  • Identify defects, damages, and process failures
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Ensure packaging, pallet builds, and shipment quality meet exacting standards

Auditing & Root Cause Analysis

  • Conduct daily and weekly audits of all warehouse processes
  • Perform root cause analysis on errors, damages, inventory discrepancies, and missed SLAs
  • Implement solutions and verify effectiveness
  • Prevent recurrence through training or process updates

Training & Workforce Execution

  • Lead daily startup meetings with managers and staff
  • Deliver weekly SOP and quality training
  • Ensure managers enforce standards consistently
  • Support onboarding, cross-training, and performance management
  • Maintain clear documentation for accountability and discipline

Systems & Reporting

  • Ensure accuracy and completion of all WMS / IMS transactions
  • Monitor operational KPIs related to quality, labor efficiency, throughput, and inventory
  • Produce actionable reports for leadership
  • Identify and close gaps between system data and physical execution

Required Experience

  • 3+ years of warehouse or operations leadership experience
  • Proven success managing managers and hourly teams
  • Strong background in SOP enforcement and quality control
  • Experience in KPI-driven, high-volume fulfillment environments
  • Comfortable enforcing standards without ambiguity
  • Working knowledge of WMS / IMS / TMS systems

Benefits

  • Group health insurance plus health savings account, 401k, paid time off, paid holidays, life insurance, short-term disability and more
  • Paid educational and professional development training

About Us

Started in 2002, we are the first ecommerce company to sell pro-grade heating and cooling units directly to homeowners. As a team of forward-thinking innovators, we are working to provide HVAC solutions to homeowners in a way that:

  1. Leads Americans away from using low efficiency and non-renewable HVAC appliances and towards high efficiency and all-electric ones, a key requirement for reducing the country’s dependency on fossil fuels and to slow global warming;
  2. Provides a shopping experience for customers that’s so easy it’s almost fun, having them exclaim “wow!”, enabled through extreme operational competency; and
  3. Prioritizes a harmonious win for customers, team members, the company and the environment.
