Warehouse ManagerSandvik Mining and Rock is currently seeking a highly capable and driven Warehouse Manager to join our busy team based in Romeoville, Illinois. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced leader to take ownership of warehouse operations, driving safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced, high-performing environment.As the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for managing and continuously improving the day-to-day warehouse activities of the regional Hub located in Chicago. The role has a strong focus on safety, accuracy and productivity. You will play a key role in supporting operational performance and will lead initiatives that enhance workflows, reduce costs and improve service delivery.Main responsibilities include:Accountable for the success of the warehouse operations, including receiving, storing and shipping of goodsSupervise, train and develop warehouse staff to enhance team performanceEnsure inventory accuracy and maintain a cycle count routine; continuously improve and manage the controls to limit shrinkage riskImplement and uphold safety regulations and compliance standards; provide proactive and visible safety leadership in all activitiesMonitor key performance metrics and address deviationsManage the infrastructure integrity and planningOptimize workflows to improve efficiency and reduce operational costsCollaborate with internal and external teams to streamline processes and execute continuous improvement projectsQualifications:A relevant qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Management.Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar warehouse or logistics leadership role.Strong leadership and people management skills with a focus on team development.Previous FTZ Warehouse Operations experienceExcellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with WMS (e.g., SAP) is highly desirable.Sound understanding of financial risk controls, goods returns, dispatch, and credit processes.Sandvik offers a comprehensive total compensation package including a competitive package of health, dental and disability insurance, and a 401(k)-retirement savings plan.
