The Warehouse Receiving Team Lead plays a vital leadership role in Hoffmann Brothers warehouse operations by overseeing the accurate and efficient receipt of all incoming materials, parts, and equipment. This role ensures that all deliveries are verified, documented, and organized properly to support inventory accuracy and job staging. The Receiving Team Lead is responsible for supervising daily receiving activities, communicating with vendors and internal departments, and maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the receiving area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Receiving Operations: Oversee all receiving activities, ensuring that materials are unloaded, verified, and processed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Inspect Deliveries: Verify shipments against packing slips and purchase orders, report damages or discrepancies, and coordinate resolution with vendors or purchasing.
- Inventory Updates: Ensure that all received items are properly entered into the inventory system and labeled for storage or staging.
- Staging Support: Coordinate with the staging and purchasing teams to move received items into proper job staging areas as needed.
- Team Leadership: Provide daily direction to receiving staff, set priorities, and support training and development.
- Organization & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area in accordance with company and safety standards.
- Vendor & Internal Communication: Communicate effectively with vendors, drivers, warehouse team, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Reporting: Support warehouse leadership with receiving logs, damage claims, and inventory reconciliation reports as required.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in receiving processes to boost speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Customer Service at the Parts Counter: Assist technicians and internal staff at the warehouse counter with part pickups, tool checkouts, and material requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Returns Processing: Handle vendor returns, and incorrect shipments; document returns and coordinate with the purchasing team for timely processing.

Requirements:
- To adequately perform the duties of this job the employee is regularly and routinely required to sit, stand, squat, kneel, walk, stoop, use hands to finger/handle controls, hear, and talk. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to climb ladders, work in hot and cold environments, and work in small crawl spaces. The employee must regularly lift and/or move 50lbs and up because the equipment being used can be heavy and cumbersome. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- The work environment can vary depending on the season and scope of work - employees are required to work outdoors throughout the seasons. The work environment will subject employees to continual interruptions and changing priorities. Effective, consistent, and constant communication with customers, vendors, co-workers, and others is required.
