About the Position Responsible for the timely and accurate receipt, movement, and shipping of all products and supplies in the warehouse, in alignment with all company policies, procedures, key objectives, and regulations. Day in the Life (Responsibilities) Receives and accounts for all inbound materials, maintains receiving log, tracks inventory accurately, reconciles issues, utilizes computerized inventory system, and communicates with purchasers to ensure on‑time arrivals and proper storage. Handles all outbound shipping, including couriers and UPS/FedEx, minimizes delivery costs, completes paperwork, and partners with freight companies to ship accurately and on schedule. Responds to field and office staff for material orders, picks orders, schedules delivery or pick‑up, manages transfers and returns, distributes packages to office personnel, and coordinates deliveries with the tool department. Safely operates forklift, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to load/unload trucks and move materials; stocks managed inventory boxes; plans, organizes, and controls flow of materials, tools, and equipment. Maintains cleanliness of warehouse and outbound areas, organizes staging areas, labels materials clearly. Coordinates with safety department to develop, maintain, and practice safety policies and procedures for all equipment, including forklifts, trucks, and trailers. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by establishing solid networks and communicating well with coworkers, customers, project managers, foremen, subcontractors, vendors, office staff, and field personnel. Consistently makes decisions in an attentive and safe manner to protect the safety and health of self and others. Utilizes LEAN concepts or other continuous‑improvement methodologies to ensure the most efficient operations, processes, and activities. Promotes and models the company mission, vision, and values through sound and ethical business practices, championing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and providing high‑quality services and programs to clients, subcontractors, coworkers, suppliers, and the public. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing shipping/receiving environment; preferably 1 year driving and operating a forklift truck. Knowledge of essential safety and OSHA regulations, LEAN concepts, and methodologies. Strong organizational, scheduling, and detail orientation skills. Effective problem‑solving and time‑management skills. Strong collaboration, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. Aptitude to work independently under pressure, assess multiple demands, and manage changing priorities. Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Work Environment & Physical Demands This job operates in a professional office environment, warehouse, and on construction job sites where noise levels can be loud. The employee may be exposed to extreme conditions including cold and heat. The role requires regular talking, hearing, walking, standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities such as close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment are required.
