Power-Flo Technologies is seeking a highly organized Warehouse Team Lead to join our team. The Warehouse Team Lead will be responsible for supporting and coordinating the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient inventory control, materials management, shipping, and transportation planning. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen attention to detail, and a solid understanding of warehouse management principles.

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Salary Range: $19 - $24/hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM

WAREHOUSE TEAM LEAD ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Warehouse Manager in supervising and coordinating warehouse resources to accomplish daily goals.
  • Communicate with internal teams, such as operations and sales staff, regarding warehouse activities.
  • Develop and manage the warehouse staff to achieve steady flow of materials through the warehouse, supporting manufacturing efficiencies.
  • Support production activities by coordinating efficient and timely material pulling.
  • Manage physical inventories, both regular cycle-counts and annual physical inventory.
  • Plan and execute warehouse reorganization projects, to improve efficiencies of space and resource utilization.
  • Review freight carrier performance, both inbound and outbound, and identify cost savings opportunities.
  • Manage logistic issues with freight carriers, including shipment tracking and billing.
  • Coordinate procurement of packaging materials/supplies with Purchasing team, and work to identify cost savings opportunities.
  • Enforce consistent adherence to all warehouse procedures throughout the department and take corrective actions where necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Develop and lead projects to improve inventory control, coordinating with other departments as needed.
  • Monitor warehouse equipment needs, and coordinate with management on acquiring or upgrading.
  • Accomplish special projects and other assignments/duties as required by management and support Shop floor for additional needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WAREHOUSE TEAM LEAD NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 2 years in a warehousing leadership role
  • Must be highly knowledgeable about warehousing principles, practices, and methods
  • Must have strong leadership skills, able to develop and guide effective work teams
  • Must have good communication skills and actively interact with associated departments on a regular basis
  • Knowledge of and experience with electrical, HVAC, and plumbing products a plus
  • Valid and Clean NYS Driver's License to operate company vehicles
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Self-motivated, organized and creative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player, professional with a “can-do” attitude
  • Proficiency with ERP system and in MS Office/Windows products

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand for up to 8 Hours
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and push/pull 100+ lbs
  • Ability to work on elevated platforms
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • This position may require standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching and/or reaching
  • You may be exposed to dust, loud noises, and hot and cold conditions
