Warrant Officer Uas Apply
UAS Officer and Staff Training Instructors train officers and staff in UAS Operations Warrant Officer Tech Course / UAS Unit Commander & Staff Leader Course and the UAS Platoon Leader Course in topics including and not limited to:
- Development of UAS requirements.
- Establishes and reviews course content as required.
- Updates course documentation on a regular basis to ensure timeliness and relevance, as required.
- May provide leadership and evaluation for other instructors, as assigned.
- Identifying appropriate payloads to satisfy collection requirements.
- Coordination of airspace and frequency requirements while acting as an U.S. Army liaison for all UAS missions
- Articulate requirements for UAS collection and integrating into UAS collection strategies.
- Assist all-source and imagery analysts with the analysis of UAS data to satisfy priority intelligence requirements.
- Provide information to cue other collection assets and assist targeting through coordination and dynamic re-tasking of the UAS while ensuring compliance with joint fires.
- Manage UAS standardization, safety, unit level maintenance, logistics, training plans, mission planning and operations.
- Operational sites.
- Mission reporting.
- Deployment/re-deployment of UAS assets IAW all applicable guidance.
- Development of UAS SOPs.
- Coordination of downed aircraft recovery operations.
- Updates course documentation on a regular basis to ensure timeliness and relevance, as required.
- Stays current with new training, educational, and multimedia technologies.
- Participates in special projects within the scope of the Performance Work Statement (PWS), on a limited and/or rotational basis.
- Must be able to work all shifts and/or modified split shifts.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have honorably served in the U.S. Army MOS 150U.
- Must have held a minimum rank of CW2 or service in an U.S. Army Aviation MOS provided the Contractor meets the additional minimum qualifications and has completed any of the following training: Aviation Safety Officers Course, Aviation Maintenance Officers Course, Instructor Pilot Course, or the Contractor has honorably served in comparable career paths within other military service branches or DoD elements.
- Minimum of 4 years operational experience in a UAS field.
- Must be able to satisfactorily complete Proponent Certification IAW with applicable Army Regulations.
- Strong interpersonal, coaching and team building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with the U.S. Army Aviation or other Government contracting agencies.
- Must be able to ascend and descend stairs; stand for an extended period up to at least 50 minutes and walk at least 100 meters across uneven or unpaved surfaces.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior TRADOC experience as an instructor.
- Prior deployment and operations as a 150U.
- 4 or more years of operational experience working with Shadow 200 (RQ-7B), Gray Eagle (MQ-1) or Hunter (MQ-5).
- Current active US Secret Clearance.
- Prior Combat Aviation Brigade experience.
