Waste Management & Transportation Supervisor II Apply
Position Overview Under limited supervision responsible for planning, directing, and managing all waste management and transportation (WM&T) activities in support of the DUF6 project. The specific work assignment may include duties or activities to support the organization in one or more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned: Functional: Leads and directs development and implementation of WM&T programs and ensures compliance with DOE O 435.1, Radioactive Waste Management and the waste acceptance criteria for a Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facility Provides leadership direction to management and professional personnel of the organization in the area of waste management Delivers technical assistance and expertise to WM&T Specialists Plans and implements waste and product disposition (i.e., waste generation, transport, storage, treatment, minimization, certification, packing, and disposal) Prepares and develops training materials Directs training of waste generators Acts as subject-matter expert (SME) for WM&T-related activities Minimum Requirements Minimum Requirements: (Must meet DOE O 426.2 minimum requirements) Bachelor's Degree or equivalent 13+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required 4+ years of nuclear experience We are equal opportunity/affirmative action employers, committed to diversity in the workplace.
