The Water Damage Estimator & Project Manager manages restoration projects from emergency response to completion. Key responsibilities include assessing property damage, preparing estimates with Xactimate, scheduling jobs, coordinating resources, and supervising crews.

Strong communication skills are essential for building client and insurance adjuster relationships, addressing project challenges, negotiating settlements, and upselling services. The role also involves securing contracts and maintaining thorough project documentation.

Duties

• Respond to Property Damage Emergencies.
• Respond to property damage emergency calls and conduct site inspections.
• Participate in an on-call schedule as needed to address emergency situations.
• Document Losses, Prepare and Sell Estimates o Inspect and assess property damage, including claim liability and scope of needed services.
• Document losses with precision using measurements, notes, and photographs.
• Prepare and submit estimates using Xactimate and negotiate costs with insurance carriers.
• Secure contracts, close jobs, and upsell additional project services.
• Plan, Coordinate, and Manage Projects o Oversee scheduling of jobs, resources, and crews.
• Prepare and process documentation to support provided services.
• Consult with subcontractors and employees on job sites regarding job-specific inquiries.
• Communicate and Maintain Relationships.
• Maintain clear communication with production/project managers to address issues affecting schedules, budgets, and progress.
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients, insurance adjusters, and claim representatives.

• ​​​​​2+ years of disaster restoration estimating experience, both residential and commercial, including water, storm, fire, smoke, mold/asbestos, contents, and large loss projects.
• 2+ years’ experience in a Management or Leadership role within the Restoration Industry.
• Proficiency in Xactimate/Xactanalysis software for writing and reading estimates; Symbility a plus.
• Familiarity with, Contractor Connection, PSA, Code Blue, and similar industry platforms (preferred).
• Tech-savvy with strong attention to detail in documentation (measurements, notes, photographs).
• Disaster restoration-related IICRC certifications are a plus.
• Strong ability to communicate with insurance adjusters/reps.

• Base Salary of $75,000 to $90,000 DOE with potential to earn $100k+ based on KPI’s.
