Job Title: Drilling Fluids Specialist
Duration: 12 Months

Location: Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, 99734

Pay Rate$36 $44 per hour (based on experience)

Shift & Rotation

  • 12.5-hour shifts
  • 3x3 rotation (3 days on / 3 days off)

Role Summary

The Drilling Fluids Specialist is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and reliable drilling fluids services at the wellsite. This role involves testing, measuring, and supervising fluid pumping and mixing operations, performing technical analysis, and providing practical product recommendations to control drilling fluid properties. The specialist actively manages service quality, risk, and compliance while supporting customer operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test and measure drilling fluid (mud) properties
  • Supervise drilling fluid mixing and pumping operations
  • Provide technical analysis and recommendations to optimize fluid performance
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all job deliverables
  • Execute service delivery in a safe, efficient, and reliable manner
  • Participate in job risk analysis and continuous improvement programs
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with customers
  • Participate in Service Quality Meetings and implement action plans
  • Ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standards
  • Conduct self-assessments and wellsite inspections
  • Follow all HSE policies and procedures
  • Wear required PPE at all times
  • Maintain all mandatory safety and compliance training
