Our Client, a growing wealth management firm, is seeking a Wealth Planning Specialist to assist our founder in creating comprehensive financial and estate plans for members of our Private Client Group. Our mission is to provide exceptional client experience combined with world class wealth management. You will be part of our Investment Committee maintaining our Investment Policy Statements, making all trades for the firm, assisting in research and creating all plans, analysis and reports. In addition to working behind the scenes with our team it is our objective for you to begin acting as a Servicing Advisor (in addition to the role of Wealth Planning Specialist) to clients in our Bronze and Silver service models after 6-12 months of learning our process. We anticipate you will train your replacement in 3 to 4 years and transition to an Associate Wealth Advisor.
WHO WE WANT:
The Wealth Planning Specialist is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the Comprehensive Financial Plans for the firm’s clients. This individual focuses on client needs in the areas of cash flow, retirement planning, estate planning, education planning, and major-purchase planning. The Wealth Planning Specialist is also responsible for all the trades for the firm across multiple custodian platforms for several hundred million dollars and will serve as a participant on our Investment Committee.
PATH TO PARTNERSHIP:
As part of this role, you will also act as a Service Advisor to clients. You will work with each client individually and serve as their lead advisor. This includes reviewing the retirement income analysis, financial plans, and portfolio on a regular basis with each household.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
- Completes and verifies all trades for the firm
- Reviews income plans for clients in the distribution phase and ensures the income is deposited systematically to client accounts
- Enters client information into the Comprehensive Financial Planning Software and generates financial plans and technical data required
- Updates the Investment Policy Statements for clients
- Maintains the investment Watch List for the Investment Committee
- Records and retains information for the Investment Committee and maintains all files required for the annual CEFEX Certification renewal
- Creates presentations summarizing the Wealth Plans for client meetings
- Reviews and modifies systems to enhance the wealth planning experience
- Remains aware for ways to improve the wealth planning process
- Maintains and develops written systems for all wealth planning activities
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Acts as Servicing Advisor to households assigned to Wealth Planner
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field of study
- Minimum of three years of financial planning, wealth management, or public accounting experience
- Preferred two to three years of experience in a financial planning firm
- Professional designation such as CFP or CPA highly desirable
