Highly Regulated Cannabis Environment
We’re hiring a Web Developer to own and enhance our digital presence in a highly regulated cannabis environment. This role is responsible for website performance, security, compliance, and user experience—while building the technical foundation that supports organic traffic to both our websites and brick-and-mortar retail locations.
This is a hands-on role with real accountability. You’ll own the web infrastructure—not just update pages.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, maintain, and optimize company websites, microsites, and landing pages
- Ensure all web properties comply with cannabis advertising and marketing regulations
- Optimize site performance, uptime, security, and mobile responsiveness
- Manage hosting environments (GoDaddy, VPS, cloud hosting) and execute website migrations
- Configure and maintain firewalls, SSL certificates, and security protocols
- Manage DNS, BNS, domains, databases, and backend web services
- Partner with Marketing to support organic traffic growth to both digital platforms and physical retail locations through technical SEO, site structure, and performance optimization
- Implement and maintain analytics, tag management, and reporting tools
What We’re Looking For
Required
- 3+ years of hands-on web development experience delivering production-ready WordPress and Shopify websites; able to provide live examples and portfolios
- Strong experience with DNS, hosting environments, and server management
- Solid understanding of technical SEO, on-page optimization, and site analytics
- Experience managing site security, firewalls, and performance optimization
Preferred
- Experience supporting local SEO and store-level web structures tied to physical locations
- Experience in cannabis or other highly regulated industries (healthcare, finance, alcohol)
- Graphic design or front-end UX/UI experience is a plus
