Project Overview

Client is seeking a Web Portal Development Lead to guide the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-grade web and mobile portals supporting our insurance platforms. This position plays a key role in enhancing digital engagement for customers, agents, and internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is a true full-stack developer-equally skilled in front-end and back-end development, API integration, and SQL. This hands-on leadership role involves collaborating closely with business teams, technical leads, and developers to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, and end-to-end development of secure, scalable web and mobile portals.
  • Build and maintain modern front-end interfaces and robust back-end systems.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.
  • Develop core portal functionalities supporting policy management, claims, billing, and pension processes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and implement cybersecurity best practices.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies, manage sprint planning, conduct code reviews, and oversee CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments (AWS).
  • Analyze usage patterns and performance metrics to enhance portal functionality and user experience.
  • Integrate legacy systems, third-party APIs, and internal databases into modern cloud architectures.
  • Design and deploy microservices enabling real-time data exchange and system interoperability.
  • Stay current with advancements in web development, cloud computing, and AI/ML technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in web development, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Proven expertise across both front-end and back-end development environments.

Technical & Soft Skills

Must Have:

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, React, Angular, Node.js, and RESTful APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with Angular, Python, and database development (SQL/NoSQL).
  • Proficiency with AWS or Azure, including ECS, Docker, Kubernetes, and other containerization tools.
  • Strong understanding of microservices, serverless architectures, and event-driven systems.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking fundamentals (VPCs, Subnets, scalable cloud architecture).

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Generative AI / AI/ML services in AWS.
  • Experience with DevOps tooling and advanced container orchestration.
  • Background in insurance operations (claims, policy servicing, customer support).

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven success delivering projects in Agile, fast-paced environments.
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
