Empro Staffing is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Weekend Cook to join our healthcare team. As a Weekend Cook, you will play a vital role in providing nutritious meals to our patients, ensuring that dietary guidelines and preferences are met while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

This position is perfect for those who are passionate about cooking and enjoy working in a collaborative setting. If you are committed to delivering high-quality meals and creating a positive dining experience for our patients, we encourage you to apply.

Pay Rate: $21/hour
Employment Type: Part-time
Schedule: Saturdays and Sundays, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Pay Period: Sunday through Saturday

Pay Day: Every Thursday

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
  • Ensure proper portion control and presentation of meals served to patients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen area, including dishwashing and equipment cleaning.
  • Assist in inventory management and ensure food items are stored properly.
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and dietary restrictions.
  • Collaborate with dietary staff to meet the nutritional needs of patients.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and nursing personnel regarding patient dietary needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous cooking experience, particularly in a healthcare setting, is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines accurately.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
  • Physical ability to perform kitchen tasks and lift food items as needed.
  • A passion for cooking and a commitment to serving others are essential.
