Maintain and repair all machinery. Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors. Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.**Responsibilities*** Maintain proper training certification (GTAW, SMAW, SAW, GTAW Aluminum, etc.)* Be capable of reading all prints issued to welding department* Accurately follow welding instructions to provide quality welds within the appropriate approved methods* Ability to use and operate overhead cranes, torches, grinders and forklifts* Work closely and communicate clearly with the other departments, Weld personnel, Supervisor and Lead Man**Qualifications:**The ideal candidate will possess the following:* Knowledge and understand of turbo machinery repair.* Must have the required tools to perform their expected tasks.* Must be able to use precision measuring instruments.* Must be able to work overtime when necessary.* Must have 5 years or more of proven welding experience.# What we offer you* 12 Paid Holidays* 15 Paid Time Off (PTO) Days* Medical, dental, vision, life & disability* 401K with 6% company match* Employee Assistance Program* Employee Wellness Program* New onsite cafeteria, all meals subsidized (La Porte Service Center)Sulzer is an equal opportunity employer.
