Welder As a welder, you will perform MIG and TIG welds on stainless steel, following detailed drawings and specifications. You will inspect welds to ensure they meet quality and company standards, set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently, and collaborate with other welders to meet production deadlines. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in accordance with all plant safety rules is essential. Responsibilities Perform MIG and TIG welds in stainless steel according to drawings and specifications. Inspect welds to ensure compliance with quality and company standards. Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently. Read and interpret drawings and shop instructions via SOPs. Collaborate with other welders to meet production deadlines. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to all plant safety rules. Essential Skills Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding. Ability to pass a two-inch schedule 80 pipe test in accordance with ASME Section IX for both MIG and TIG in all positions. Experience with fabrication, blueprint reading, and fitting. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Knowledge of shop safety procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to perform shop math, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication with whole numbers and fractions. Ability to read a tape measure to within 1/16 inch.
