A Day in the Life In this intermediate‑level position, you’ll use your skills and training to perform maintenance and/or installation work on assigned wind turbines under minimal supervision. You will be provided with defined schedules and procedures including safety protocol, verbal/written instructions, and may provide mentorship to entry‑level technicians. Typical duties include working 250+ feet above the ground, performing maintenance and repairs in confined spaces, climbing, carrying tools and equipment, and moving parts to complete your work. The base pay salary range for this position is $27.43 – $33.43 per hour, with potential for additional variable compensation. Pay will be determined based on experience and qualifications. Eligibility Note Eligibility requirements apply – please speak with a Vestas representative for more details. Physical Demands Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods. Hearing ability to use telephones, close‑range radios or related devices. Visual acuity including depth perception, field of vision, and ability to distinguish colors. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed, with hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to climb stairs and vertical ladders to heights of 60–100 meters and, at times, supervise work in confined space environments. Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to, but not more than, 50 pounds. Ability to observe training and obtain certification in required safety programs (LOTO, Electrical Qualification, Fall Arrest & High Angle Rescue & Emergency Descent, Confined Space). Ability to participate in all training courses, including controlled descent practical exercises. Due to design parameters of fall protection equipment, the combined weight of the prospective employee, required PPE and gear shall not exceed 300 pounds.
