This Client is an American multinational semiconductor company based in Santa Clara, California, that develops computer processors and related technologies for business and consumer markets. global company that specializes in manufacturing semiconductor devices used in computer processing. The company also produces flash memories, graphics processors, motherboard chip sets, and a variety of components used in consumer electronics goods.

Job Title: Windows AI Selfhost Tech
Work Location: Austin, TX, 78735
Duration: 12 Months

Job Description:
Selfhost setup:
  • Contractor will be responsible to install device images on all selfhost devices (10-150 units).
  • Communicate/interface with client Windows OS team and identify and retrieve the early builds of Windows OS as a base.
  • Communicate with platform software leads and identify collection of drivers, BIOS and applications that need to be added to device image.
  • Use tools like DISM and WinPE to create and manipulate custom OS images.
  • Understand how to manage and extract the Windows Driver Store to migrate and install drivers.
  • Generate basic scripts in PowerShell.
  • Understand diskpart and storage device provisioning.
Testing:
  • Download and rum Microsoft ADK for testing.
  • Run client Suspend to test sleep, hibernate and reboot cycles.
  • Run ad hoc testing to reproduce failure scenarios.
Special Units:
  • Prep devices for demos (special HW configurations, SW and test loads)
  • Run around client Austin campus troubleshooting, delivering and replacing test devices.
Hardware Management:
  • Assemble computers, power supplies, memory, processors and other components and get device running.
  • Read and follow CRB Guides to flash basic firmware to get CRBs working.
  • Learn/know how to use dediprog to flash SPI components.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering would be a nice to have but not a must have
Top 3 skills:
  • Windows OS, hands on debug experience, AI knowledge (beneficial, but not mandatory if they have strong Windows OS and debug experience)
