We are looking for an experienced Windows Architect – Datacenter Infrastructure to design, standardize, secure, and operate large-scale Windows environments across multiple datacenter locations.This role requires deep hands-on expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, Hyper-V virtualization, security hardening, and enterprise infrastructure operations, along with strong architectural and leadership capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesWindows Infrastructure Architecture and DesignArchitect scalable, secure, and highly available Windows Server platforms for datacenter environmentsDesign and standardize solutions for Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, File and Print services, and Microsoft System Center componentsDefine architecture standards, naming conventions, build documents, and configuration baselinesActive Directory Architecture and GovernanceDesign and manage multi-domain, multi-site Active Directory forestsGovern FSMO roles, schema updates, trust relationships, replication topology, and domain securityDefine and enforce OU design, GPO strategy, delegation models, and domain-wide policiesEnsure Active Directory security, monitoring, compliance, and disaster recovery readinessVirtualization and Cluster Management (Hyper-V)Architect and manage Hyper-V clusters, high availability, and resource poolsOversee VM lifecycle management including provisioning, scaling, upgrades, and optimizationLead Hyper-V migrations, platform upgrades, replication strategies, and storage integrations (iSCSI / FC)Ensure resilient configurations for NIC teaming, NLB, and cluster networkingSecurity, Patch, and Compliance ManagementDefine and enforce Windows server hardening standards and secure configuration baselinesGovern OS patching and vulnerability remediation using WSUS, SCCM, BigFix, or similar toolsManage enterprise endpoint protection and ensure continuous threat monitoringMonitoring, Capacity Planning, and Performance EngineeringArchitect monitoring and alerting frameworks using SCOM, Nagios, Zabbix, ManageEngine, or similar toolsDrive capacity planning, forecasting, and performance tuning for Windows and AD infrastructureProduce regular health checks, performance reports, and growth projectionsIncident, Problem, and Change ManagementLead resolution of critical P1 and P2 Windows and Active Directory incidentsPerform root cause analysis and drive long-term stability improvementsGovern change management processes including planning, approvals, implementation, and documentationDisaster Recovery and Business ContinuityDesign and maintain disaster recovery strategies for Active Directory, Hyper-V, File Services, and core Windows platformsConduct regular DR drills, backup validation, and recovery testing to ensure readinessCollaboration, Projects, and Technical LeadershipLead large-scale infrastructure deployments, migrations, transformations, and datacenter transitionsCollaborate with Network, Security, Cloud, Storage, and Application teams to deliver integrated solutionsMentor Windows engineers and establish best practices across teamsCross-Platform and Cloud ExposureExposure to Azure or GCP cloud environments and hybrid identity solutions (Azure AD Connect)Experience working with remote datacenter operations and integrated network and storage platformsRequired Experience and Skills12–16+ years of enterprise experience in Windows Server and Active Directory administrationStrong hands-on and architectural experience in datacenter environmentsDeep expertise in Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, Hyper-V, clusteringStrong understanding of ITIL-based service operationsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fieldCertifications preferred: MCSE, MCSA, Azure Administrator or Architect, ITILPreferred SkillsStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills in large-scale distributed environmentsExperience with automation and scripting using PowerShellExcellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder coordination skillsWhy Join UsWork on complex, enterprise-scale datacenter environmentsHigh-ownership role within a growing managed services organizationOpportunity to influence infrastructure standards and architecture decisionsCompetitive compensation aligned with experience and impact
