Job Title Windows Server Administrator – Rome, NY Job Details Location: Rome, New York Contract Layout: "est. 6 Month Contract to Permanent Hire" Contract Pay Rate: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour Starting Salary at Permanent Hire: $90,000 - $95,000 plus full benefits Travel: up to 25% Requirements Secret Security Clearance (Eligible) Security+ CE certification 2+ years of server administration experience 5+ years of overall IT experience Responsibilities Troubleshoot, install, and maintain servers, operating systems (Windows, Linux, or macOS), applications, and hardware. Proactively monitor system performance and identify potential issues. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, escalating complex issues to senior staff when necessary. Implement and maintain system security measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems. Perform regular system backups and recovery procedures.
