Shift
1st shift, typically working 10 hour shifts Monday-Thursday with varying Friday schedules.
Job Summary
Woodworker/Cabinet Builder: The role requires meeting quality standards and deadlines, with flexibility to work weekends and extra hours if needed.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate woodworking machines such as power saws to cut and shape lumber
- Trim component parts of joints using hand tools like planes, chisels, or wood files
- Sand and scrape surfaces and joints in preparation for finishing
- Install hardware like hinges, catches, drawer pulls, and knobs
- Build fixtures, displays, trellis, and other wood items
- Make cut lists and build custom wedges, merchandisers, and fillers
- Operate table saw and miter box for custom fixtures
- Use hand tools, drills, sanders, nail guns, and routers
- Turn in labor and materials for projects and keep work area clean
- Perform other related duties as needed
Preferred Skills
- 1-3 years' experience in construction or building
- Ability to work under deadline constraints and meet quality standards
- Proven mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and write instructions, manuals, and reports
- Problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Flexibility to work weekends and extra hours if needed
- Interpreting blueprints and shop drawings (not required but beneficial)
