This role sits at the intersection of design, development and digital marketing, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and wants to broaden their skillset. You’ll primarily be responsible for building and maintaining WordPress websites, but you’ll also have opportunities to support basic application development, integrations and digital marketing activity as the business grows. Experience in all areas is not essential - training and support will be provided.Key ResponsibilitiesWebsite Build & DeliveryBuild, maintain and improve WordPress websites using custom themes and page builders (e.g. WPBakery, Elementor)Translate design concepts into responsive, pixel-accurate buildsImplement structured content using Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)Support WooCommerce, MemberPress and other plugin-based functionalityPerformance, Quality & OptimisationEnsure websites are fast, secure, accessible and SEO-friendlyManage updates, performance optimisation and overall site healthTest across browsers and devices to ensure consistent user experiencesBuild and refine landing pages focused on conversion and usabilityTechnical Development & ApplicationsCustomise themes and plugins using PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScriptSupport the development of basic web-based applications, tools or integrationsWork with databases (MySQL) and APIs at a foundational levelFollow best practices for security, performance and maintainabilityDigital Marketing & Content SupportAssist with Google Ads and META (Facebook / Instagram) advertising campaignsHelp build and send email newsletters and campaignsSupport tracking, reporting and optimisation alongside the marketing teamCollaboration & TeamworkWork closely with designers, marketers and IT specialists across One IT Support and Halogen CreativeProvide technical input during planning / concept stages and be comfortable attending client meetingsTroubleshoot issues and propose practical, scalable solutionsContribute ideas to improve workflows, standards and deliveryWhat We’re Looking ForEssentialProven experience building websites with WordPressA programming background, qualification or practical experienceWorking knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScriptUnderstanding of responsive design and web performanceStrong attention to detail and pride in high-quality workDesirable (but not essential)Experience with ACF and WooCommerceExposure to Google Ads, META platforms or email marketing toolsExperience building simple apps, dashboards or integrationsPersonal AttributesCurious, adaptable and keen to learn new skillsComfortable working across creative, technical and marketing tasksA collaborative team player with good communication skillsAble to manage multiple projects and prioritiesCareer ProgressionThis is a new and growing company, which means there are genuine opportunities for progression.
