Job Description Insight Global is partnering with PG&E as they grow their Electric Transmission Engineering organization. The Work & Resource Planning Analyst supports effective delivery of transmission and substation engineering work by analyzing portfolio demand, engineering capacity, and resource utilization. This role partners closely with engineers, project managers, and planning stakeholders to manage project intake, assess workload and bandwidth, and support data‑driven decisions on how work is assigned and prioritized. The role integrates data from multiple enterprise systems to provide clear visibility into portfolio health and resourcing needs.Key ResponsibilitiesWork & Resource Planning Support Maintain visibility into the current and upcoming transmission and substation engineering portfolio.Work directly with individual engineers and engineering leads to understand active assignments, upcoming work, and available capacity.Analyze workload and bandwidth to support effective partitioning and assignment of work across teams.Identify potential over‑allocation or under‑utilization of resources and escalate findings with recommendations. Project Intake & Portfolio Tracking Support and coordinate the intake of new transmission and substation projects into the planning pipeline.Ensure incoming work is captured accurately, prioritized appropriately, and aligned with available resources.Assist with portfolio‑level tracking to support short‑ and mid‑term planning decisions. Data Analysis & Systems Integration Collect, reconcile, and analyze data from multiple systems, including SAP, Primavera P6, eZclariTy, and other planning or tracking tools.Identify data quality gaps, inconsistencies, and timing issues across systems and work with stakeholders to improve accuracy and reliability.Develop routine and ad‑hoc reports that summarize workload, resource utilization, and portfolio trends. Problem Solving & Decision Support Analyze planning and workload data to support key questions such as: Do teams have too much or too little work?Are resources aligned with portfolio priorities?Where are emerging bottlenecks or risks? Provide analytical support and recommendations to improve assignment strategies and overall planning effectiveness. Communication & Collaboration Communicate clearly and effectively with engineering, project management, and cross‑functional partners.Translate data and analysis into clear insights suitable for both technical and non‑technical audiences.Support collaborative discussions around workload, priorities, and trade‑offs.
