Description

TEKsystems is seeking a strategic and technically adept Enterprise Solutions Architect/Product Owner with expertise in Workday to lead the design, development and optimization of enterprise-wide HR and Finance systems. You will provide architectural guidance on the selection, integration and automation of tools used throughout the SDLC process. The role bridges business needs and technology solutions, ensuring Workday capabilities are fully leveraged to support organizational needs.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Evaluates, tests, and demonstrates tools, technologies and processes that will evolve software development.

•\tProvides overarching governance and standards including application business continuity, disaster recovery, security, change management, development quality, development methods, and code quality.

•\tLeads members of the development team to ensure software design and implementation meet architectural goals and quality standards.

•\tMentors members of the development team by training and sharing knowledge.

•\tProvides technical support, recommendations for improvements, and expert knowledge in analyzing data.

•\tIdentifies opportunities for improving the effectiveness of processes, systems, and technologies; provides vision by evaluating and recommending new hardware/software technologies for core business applications and determines feasibility of alternative solutions.

•\tEngineers core business applications to add business value and ensure functional and technical requirements are met.

•\tHelps design, maintain, and monitor database structures for ERP and related systems to ensure data integrity and eliminate data redundancies.

•\tCoordinates with business owners and other stakeholders to develop strategic road maps for the future state of ERP Systems.

•\tDevelops and maintains system and program administration documentation; documents internal processes and audit procedures to ensure data integrity.

•\tTroubleshoots, documents system errors and issues clearly, and escalates for review and ticket creation.

•\tEscalates process change requests, system enhancements or any other major resource requests to business area management team for approval and prioritization.

•\tParticipates in software development as a member of the Scrum team; participates in work required to enhance, refactor, fix, and migrate systems to newer technologies.

•\tParticipates and leads the team in establishing and maintaining standards, including coding standards, tools, or platforms.

•\tShares new and evolving processes, technologies and software development techniques with the team.

•\tCollaborates with team members to manage the delivery of projects including configuration changes and functionality deployment (including configuration, testing, documentation, peer review, sign off, training, change management etc.) as directed.

•\tParticipates in system testing, including test scripts development and execution, testing resources coordination and test completion metrics compilation; remains current with updates, patches, and modules to ensure the application runs properly on a fully secure and updated platform.

•\tReviews, analyzes, and modifies systems including coding, testing, debugging and installing to support application systems.

Provides knowledge and support of the organization’s data warehousing, data analytics, and business intelligence systems.

•\tLeads Developers, Business Intelligence Designers, and Stakeholders in expert knowledge of business intelligence, analytics, and reporting infrastructure to support the strategic initiatives of the organization.

•\tDesigns and develops dashboards and reports using Platform specific tools (e.g. Workday).

•\tDesigns, builds, and supports the components of the data warehouse.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

•\tConsiderable knowledge of computer program design and development methodology, computer logic, block diagramming, and flow-charting, and standard computer languages and operating systems as well as emerging systems development technology.

•\tWorking knowledge of ERP systems and processes.

•\tAbility to effectively communicate both written and verbally with senior level staff to determine information technology and applications needed to meet organizational needs and provide required informational data, and the ability to explain data and findings to a non-technical audience.

•\tAbility to provide regular technical reports both verbal and statistical showing status of ongoing projects.

•\tHigh level of professionalism, customer service, and integrity with all stakeholders and information technology staff. Demonstrated strong attention to detail, problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills.

•\tStrong database management skills including the ability to merge, cleanse, and analyze large amounts of data.

•\tAbility to multitask, manage competing priorities, and to work independently as well as collaborating with team members from various business owners.

•\tKnowledge of web-enabled application development architectures, knowledge of Agile development frameworks, and expert knowledge of SQL including complex queries, T-SQL (MS SQL Server or Oracle).

•\tExpertise in version control.

•\tGeneral understanding of quality of service, non-functional requirements specification and infrastructure architecture, UI development using standard technologies (Bootstrap, JQuery).

•\tStrong knowledge of Business Intelligence tools and Data Analytics.

•\tKnowledge of RESTful Web Services, Tomcat, Linux, Oracle, Java Technology stack (Groovy/Grails, JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS), Virtual Private Database, Oracle Database 11g/12c integration with middleware and web components, Ellucian Ethos Platform, and Banner ERP networking.
