Join our New Jersey team as a Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney. As a valued member of our team, you will draw on your prior experience in defending New Jersey Workers’ Compensation matters from inception through trial and appeal. Your responsibilities will include direct client communication, preparing and filing legal documents (pleadings, motions, briefs), court appearances, trial preparation, and trials/appeals.

Requirements

We are seeking preferred attorney candidates with at least one year of workers' compensation defense experience. The ideal candidate will have experience defending insurance carriers, third-party administrators, policyholders, and public and private sector clients in all aspects of workers' compensation matters. This includes, but is not limited to, handling a variety of claims such as high-exposure cases and complex litigation.

Common claims we litigate involve all aspects of workplace accidents, repetitive trauma, occupational disease, death, hearing loss, plant closings, and re-openers. Our clients span numerous industries, including construction, manufacturing, technology, healthcare, retail, education, and more.

Trial experience and ability to manage a caseload independently a plus. Proficiency in NJ e-filing; MS Office Suite; time/billing software; and discovery management software tools.

Job Type: Full Time Attorney Position. This role requires in-person practice of law. After an initial mandatory in-office period, a hybrid work-from-home schedule is available when not in Court.
