The firm is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to join their team in a fully remote role. This attorney will handle various responsibilities involved in defending workers' compensation claims. This position offers the opportunity to manage cases independently and collaborate with an experienced team dedicated to client success. Additionally, the role includes a competitive compensation package with production bonuses.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage and defend a caseload of workers' compensation claims, providing comprehensive representation for each case.
  • Conduct depositions of applicants and cross-examinations of physicians to support case strategy.
  • Attend hearings and represent clients effectively throughout the litigation process.
  • Perform legal research and draft necessary legal documents to support case development.
  • Negotiate settlements and advocate for favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on workers' compensation matters.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in workers' compensation defense and claims management.
  • Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensing: Active California license to practice law.
  • Skills:
    • Knowledge of workers' compensation laws, employee benefits, and insurance policies.
    • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage remote responsibilities effectively.
