Overview MRC seeks a Full Time Writer-Editor II to support the Corporate Communications department at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division. The qualified candidate must have a strong knowledge of the Microsoft Suite, standard office equipment and excellent communication skills. This position requires strong writing skills to assist in the planning, writing and editing of feature news and technical articles, internal communications, reports and presentations for release to interested internal or external audiences. This position will also be responsible for building coalitions throughout the command as well as with the media, external stakeholders, and other individuals of considerable influence. The candidate must have demonstrated professional experience writing and copy editing articles, press releases or other written content describing complex scientific or technical topics using lay language for a general audience using the Associated Press (AP) Stylebook. Job Requirements A Bachelor’s degree and at least six (6) years of relevant experience is required, or an Associate’s degree and ten (10) years of relevant experience.
