X-Ray Technologist

Job Summary:

The X-Ray Technologist will perform diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The technologist ensures high-quality imaging, patient safety, and adherence to all regulatory and facility guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Ensure proper patient identification, positioning, and safety during imaging procedures.
• Operate X-ray and related imaging equipment efficiently and safely.
• Review and evaluate developed X-rays to ensure image quality and diagnostic value.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the hospital information system.
• Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and HIPAA compliance standards.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and healthcare team members.
• Assist with portable imaging as required.
• Participate in quality assurance and equipment maintenance programs.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical X-ray experience.
• Active ARRT (R) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• MRT License Medical Radiologic Technologist license in the State of Texas.
• BLS Certification Basic Life Support (AHA or equivalent).
