1 Resource Group is seeking a Yard Coordinator I to manage and oversee yard operations, ensuring efficient movement and organization of materials and equipment. In this role, you will work as part of a dynamic team to maintain a well-organized yard while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and procedures. This position is essential for supporting overall project goals and maintaining workflow effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise yard activities and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and equipment.
  • Organize the yard layout to optimize accessibility and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for all yard operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery and pick-up of materials.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new yard staff.
  • Identify and report any potential hazards or inefficiencies in yard operations.
  • Can do repairs on equipment
  • Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

Generally, the role is based in an outdoor yard environment, subject to weather conditions. Physical work may be required, including lifting, moving materials, and operating equipment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or yard setting.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other yard machinery (training may be provided).
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills and understanding of inventory management systems.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials, up to 50 pounds.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
  • Able to pass forklift certification
  • Ability to safely operate most types of construction equipment
  • General knowledge of construction equipment repair
  • Basic computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet, and electronic presentation programs

$24.00-$26.00 DOE
