$100,000 annual W2 salary with weekly pay; health, dental, and vision coverage begins on day one.
On-site role at an Alpha K-8 school in Scottsdale (Phoenix), AZ; Oklahoma City, OK; Tulsa, OK; Nashville, TN; Austin, TX; Brownsville, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Houston (Central, South, or The Woodlands), TX; Park City, UT (Salt Lake City area) – relocation assistance available.
Your role is not to teach. Your role is to drive motivation.
The most powerful support you can give a student who reaches 99% of their goal is to insist they finish. If that standard feels too rigid, this position isn't for you. If it resonates because you understand that maintaining expectations is how you communicate belief in a student's capability, read on.
At Alpha, academic learning happens through AI-driven applications. No classroom lectures. No traditional textbooks. You will spend half your time facilitating one-hour workshops on life skills—topics like public speaking, focus, and constructive feedback. The other half is dedicated to individual and small-group sessions where you analyze student progress via Coachbot data and guide every student to complete 100% of their weekly app targets. You won't follow a rigid script—workshops provide a framework, but top performers modify them and create new content when needed.
What You Will Be Doing
Facilitating hour-long life-skills workshops for K-8 groups covering public speaking, focus, feedback, and other transferable skills—modifying existing frameworks and creating new sessions when you identify needs.
Conducting daily individual and small-group coaching sessions that drive every student to complete 100% of their weekly app targets, leveraging Coachbot data, Alpha's reward structures (school currency, leaderboards), and individual relationships to overcome resistance.
Delivering the Test2Pass (Alpha's mastery-based evaluation) for each life skill and continuing to coach students who don't initially pass until mastery is achieved.
Adjusting your approach across a broad age spectrum—from kindergarteners requiring dynamic, movement-based engagement to eighth graders needing direct conversation and accountability.
Serving as the adult who maintains high expectations while also being someone students choose to confide in; building trust earns you permission to challenge, and challenging demonstrates your confidence in their potential.
What You Won’t Be Doing
Delivering whiteboard-based instruction; academic content is handled by the applications, not by you.
Creating curriculum materials from the ground up; your job is to animate an established playbook with energy and narrative skill.
Passively monitoring students while they work on computers; motivation in this role is active, individualized, and sustained.
Reducing weekly targets to help a student achieve them; when a student falls behind, the solution involves supporting the student, not adjusting the goal.
Evaluating traditional homework, conducting standardized test preparation, or handling parent communications; Campus Leads manage parent interactions, and the other tasks don't exist in this model.
Youth Program Coordinator Key Responsibilities
Drive every student in your K-8 group to complete their weekly learning targets, demonstrate mastery of each life skill, and conclude the year reporting that your coaching was meaningful to them.
