Position: Application Developer Location: Washington, DC Travel: Yes Position Type: Proposal Requirements: Develop and implement new software applications and enhancements to existing systems based on defined product backlog requirements. Perform full application lifecycle activities including design, coding, testing, deployment, documentation, and ongoing maintenance. Develop, execute, and validate test plans, leveraging automated testing tools when possible. Troubleshoot application issues, perform defect resolution, and implement enhancement requests in alignment with stakeholder needs. Draft, update, and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and operational instructions. Participate in Agile Scrum activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and team collaboration sessions. Ensure developed solutions comply with organizational policies, security guidelines, and technical standards. Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and team members to support delivery of mission-critical enterprise applications. Mandatory Technical Skills: Experience developing web-based applications using JavaScript and/or HTML. Experience in application development using modern frameworks and tools. Experience with ServiceNow development is highly desired (but not required). Understanding of Agile development methodologies and sprint-based delivery. Experience with software testing practices including unit testing and automated testing tools. Ability to develop clean, modular, well-documented, and maintainable code. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze technical requirements and translate them into effective software solutions. Education & Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional application development experience OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related discipline Equivalent combinations of education and directly relevant experience may be considered.
