Design, develop, and implement robust cloud native data architecture and solutions focused in Azure cloud environments, including but not limited to data integration, ETL processes, data pipelines, and data movement between various Azure services and on-premises systems Provide technical guidance in migrating and optimizing performance for data workloads in the cloud Provide technical expertise in cloud data services, models, standards, and policies to maximize value for the organization Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and translate them into effective cloud-native data solutions Collaborate with Governance and InfoSec teams to ensure all data in the cloud follows security, privacy, and compliance controls Collaborate with Development Support teams to define deployment strategies, automate deployment process, and manage data-related infrastructure as code Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill development in cloud data services Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and the best practices in cloud-based data architecture and design Basic Qualifications: At least 8 years of experience working with Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, Microsoft SQL, and PostgreSQL databases, including administration, development, tuning and migration At least 5 years of experience working with Azure data services and tools, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Analytics, Azure CosmosDB, and others Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, Python, PowerShell and other scripting languages Experience with data modeling, data quality and metadata management Experience developing and/or championing enterprise data governance policies Experience in managing data with geographic distribution and isolation, including adherence to data sovereignty regulatory frameworks Relevant certifications, including Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances. B.S., Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications: Preferred experience in using Azure cognitive services, machine learning, or other AI/ML technologies a plus Preferred experience with Machine Language and Generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT, others) Preferred experience with other cloud providers, AWS or GCP Preferred Secret clearance.
