JOB TITLE: C-17 Structures Mechanic
LOCATION: San Antonio, TX
PAY RATE: $41/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

• Perform close-tolerance drilling, reaming, and installation on critical structural components

• Locate and install structural components in existing aircraft structures, including blind hole applications

• Perform sealing, painting, shimming, and preservation of aircraft structures

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, and specifications

• Utilize tooling and fixtures for depot-level structural repair and modification

• Troubleshoot and repair aircraft mechanical components and support system replacements

• Perform sheet metal repairs and structural modifications

• Use specialized aircraft tools and test equipment

• Access and update aircraft data systems; initiate parts and discrepancy requests

• Maintain required certifications and comply with safety and FOD procedures

• Support team members across maintenance disciplines to meet schedule and cost goals

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience working with non-porous metals (aluminum, titanium, stainless steel)

• 1+ years of experience interpreting schematics, specifications, and assembly drawings

• 1+ years of experience using structural hand tools (drills, countersink cages, rivet guns, etc.)

• Ability to work variable shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
