DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The Clerk Typist 2 position is responsible for answering phones, office reception, filing, and other office duties. Organization is essential for maintaining a card file, filing system, and the visitation and appointment schedule. You will also type and proofread letters as well as enter data with great attention detail. When covering reception, you will greet customers promptly and courteously, connecting them with appropriate staff, and covering the telephone. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
- Six months as a Clerk Typist 1 and educational development to the level of eighth grade; or
- Completion of a high school business curriculum which included at least one typing course; or
- Any combination of equivalent experience and training.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live within Luzerne County. If no eligible candidates who live within Luzerne County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
