Cloud Engineering Full-Stack Developer – JETSII Contract Are you passionate about human space exploration, understanding the origins of the universe, and working with a diverse team to make a difference? Join NASA’s largest engineering solutions provider and help deliver systems that enable deep space exploration. Responsibilities Support Luna system development focused on front‑end tasks, including UI design and user experience in coordination with project leadership. Develop and update front‑end UI elements and code, implementing features and testing. Participate in Luna’s Agile sprint cadence, executing assigned development work. Contribute to the Luna codebase through the DevSecOps process, recommending service and capability implementations to the Chief Architect and Chief Engineer. Engage with Luna customers and the broader NMC, AppDat, and SIERRA teams to develop new services, service federation, and technical integration. Design and develop enterprise‑level cloud‑centric products and solutions, maintaining and supporting existing cloud applications. Perform requirements gathering and analysis, driving solutions for all application tiers: UI, business logic, database, workflows, and reporting. Build proof‑of‑concept examples for current and future solutions, fostering innovation. Collaborate with other developers and analysts on the Cloud Engineering and Product Team, sharing innovative ideas. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a related field. Typically 10 years of experience in full‑stack development or related area. Strong coding style, following best software development practices and automated testing. Solid understanding of object‑oriented principles. Front‑end proficiency: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and modern frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue). Back‑end experience with Node.js, Python, Java, or .NET. Experience designing and consuming RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs. Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB). Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI). Experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar). Understanding of cloud security best practices (IAM, encryption, secure APIs). Experience optimizing application performance and scalability. Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus). Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and work both independently and in a team. Preferences Experience with serverless architectures. Exposure to event‑driven systems and messaging queues (Kafka, SQS). Knowledge of front‑end performance optimization and accessibility standards. Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Certified Developer, Azure Developer Associate, Google Cloud Developer).
