Job Description National Oilwell Varco is a leading supplier of drilling products around the world. Our products are used by major Energy and Service companies to drill and complete oil & gas wells all across the globe. Job Duties Write programs and modify existing ones for increased efficiency. Utilize drawings or CAD models to support program development. Utilize CAM software to produce programs. Make calculations for programming. Create, document and back‑up all programs. Update set‑up sheets and tool lists as required. Check completed programs by running simulations or tests. Prepare geometric layout of designs using proper software. Determine sequence of operations in a program. Confer with appropriate engineering personnel in preparing and finalizing programs. Choose cutting tools that will be needed. Analyze job order and perform necessary calculations. Simplify tooling time for workers and increase productivity. Monitor all programs to ensure they follow blueprint instructions and are completed safely and successfully. Assure quality and production requirements are met, as per travelers and blueprints, etc. Participate in total quality management projects to achieve continuous improvement. Participate in LEAN manufacturing and SPC activities as required. Report any equipment or facility defect(s) to supervisor. Ensure any accident or injury is promptly reported. Maintain NOV guidelines on safety, quality, and delivery. Clean work areas as necessary to maintain cleanliness, health, and safety standards. All other reasonable tasks assigned with the goal of helping the team, operations, or the facility overall. Educational & Experience Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. 3 years of demonstrable experience in a similar position with like responsibilities and expected outcomes.
