Location: Houston, TX. Salary: $30 - $45 per hour. Overview Join a high‑precision machining and fabrication team supporting complex, tight‑tolerance work across energy, aerospace, and heavy industrial applications. You’ll be the go‑to Mastercam expert for 5‑axis programming while also supporting lathe and 3/4‑axis mill work from prototype through production. We're a longtime Houston-based machine shop with a blend of deep industry experience, advanced machining capabilities, and a strong, customer‑first culture. Family‑owned and operated since the 1980's, we run a spacious facility equipped with an impressive lineup of CNC lathes, mills, 5‑axis mill‑turn centers, vertical turning centers, EDM systems, welding stations, and large‑capacity boring equipment. Why Join Us Our specialization in precision CNC machining and large‑component structural fabrication makes us a trusted partner across demanding sectors—including oil and gas, aviation, aerospace, heavy industrial, and gas turbine industries. Our ability to manufacture oversized and complex components such as large flanges, carriers, crossheads, gears, and custom hydraulic parts demonstrates both technical range and craftsmanship. Job Details Program complex 5‑axis CNC parts in Mastercam (toolpaths, posts, verifications, setup documentation). Create efficient programs for CNC lathes and 3‑/4‑axis mills; optimize feeds/speeds, workholding, and tool selection. Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications; confirm manufacturability and recommend improvements. Perform first‑article prove‑outs with machinists; troubleshoot, reduce cycle time, and elevate surface finish and dimensional accuracy. Maintain digital tooling libraries and standard work; partner with QA for in‑process checks and continuous improvement. Contribute to a safe, clean, and collaborative shop environment. What You’ll Bring 5+ years of recent Mastercam programming experience for 5‑axis milling (required). Solid background programming CNC lathes and 3‑/4‑axis mills. Strong understanding of GD&T, work offsets, probing, and precision machining practices. Proven track record taking parts from print/CAD to first‑article approval. Clear, professional English communication skills (verbal and written). Detail‑oriented mindset with a focus on quality, throughput, and on‑time delivery. #J-18808-Ljbffr
