Position Summary: The Estimator evaluates vehicles for collision damage or customization requests (paint, wraps, restorations), determines required repairs or modifications, and provides detailed cost and time estimates to customers. This position bridges the customer’s needs with the shop’s repair and customization teams, ensuring clarity and transparency throughout the process. Key Responsibilities Perform thorough inspections of vehicles arriving for collision repair, paint jobs, wrap/film installation, restorations or custom work Assess damage and custom work requirements – frame/body damage, paint/finish needs, wrap/film application, part replacement, restoration scope Prepare detailed written estimates including parts, labor, materials, customization costs (wraps, paint, film, restoration), and expected timeline Discuss with customers: explain estimate details, repair/customization options, possible alternatives (e.g., paint vs wrap), and expected outcomes Work with shop management and technicians to schedule work once customer approves the estimate, track approvals and scheduling Maintain accurate documentation of all estimates, photos, customer authorizations, repair history and job status Follow up as needed with customers for approvals, updates, or adjustments if damage scope changes Requirements Experience or strong willingness to learn in collision repair estimating, auto‑body, painting or customization Strong attention to detail, good judgment in assessing vehicle damage vs repair/replace/paint/restore decisions Good communication and customer‑service skills – able to explain complex repair/customization options in clear, friendly manner Organized, capable of managing multiple estimates, customer files, scheduling, and coordination with shop personnel Comfortable working in an auto‑body / collision / customization shop environment; familiarity with auto‑body terminology and repair processes a plus Bi‑lingual/Spanish speaking required Benefits Competitive pay based on experience and estimating skills Paid holidays, paid time off, and paid sick days In‑house/on‑the‑job training to build your expertise in collision repair, painting, wraps, customizations Opportunity to work with a diversified service shop handling collision, paint, wrap, restoration, and customization – gaining broad experience Los Angeles, CA $74,000.00-$172,000.00 1 year ago Seniority level Entry level Employment type Full‑time Job function Other Industries IT Services and IT Consulting #J-18808-Ljbffr
