Database Administrator (Oracle and SQL Server)- Bilingual (Korean/ English) Contract Compensation: USD 80,000 - USD 100,000 - yearly We seek a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic IT team as a "Database Administrator". This position requires technical leadership as a DBA and is responsible for establishing the direction for maintenance, standards, lifecycle management, design, and implementation approaches for the company’s database-related infrastructure. Creates, evaluates, and implements plans and design proposals for high-impact IT solutions and their use involving leading-edge technologies and methods, considering key factors such as their long-term effectiveness (service delivery and cost), practicality, technical limitations, criticality, and coordinates with Headquarters. Leads or contributes to designs applied to all aspects of database-related infrastructure prototypes and eventual implementation. Performs work of high complexity and derives logical processes based on technical platforms. Engages in performance/integration testing, problem analysis, business, and technical analysis. Essential Functions Technical Leadership (75%) Performs daily based basic database tasks. Performs security administration tasks. Installs, configures, upgrades, and troubleshoots Oracle, SQL Server, Maria and Tibero databases in Unix/Linux/Windows platforms. Diagnoses database performance bottlenecks and provides enhancements. Writes SQL and Unix/Linux Shell scripts. Creates and maintains operational document procedures. Other duties as required. Project Management (25%) Manage an extensive portfolio of projects, tasks, issues, and systems. Manage projects from the initial requirement stage through the completion stage, ensuring appropriate documentation and completion. Conduct/Lead formal project meetings with the team, other departments, and customers. Scope Indicators Database Design and Modeling Performance Tuning and Optimization Data Security and Integrity Backup and Recovery Database Updates and Maintenance Advanced Technical Skills Capacity Planning Problem Solving and Troubleshooting Collaboration and Communication Continuous Learning and Professional Development Qualifications Education: A bachelor’s degree in information technology is preferred. Related Work Experience (Yrs.): 7+ years of solid experience in multiple and large-scale Oracle and SQL Server databases environment. Ability to support 24 X 7 environment. Ability to work overtime. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Excellent Analytical Skills and problem-solving skills. Ability to think logically and to analyze issues and implement appropriate solutions. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to plan, organize, coordinate work assignments. Ability to complete projects on time. Ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to interact positively with internal and external customers. Oracle Certification (OCP) preferred.
