On-site every other week / 5 days in Merrimack, NH or Westlake, TX
Our client is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join a cybersecurity-focused team supporting database activity monitoring across critical platforms. This role will focus on cloud deployments, DevOps automation, CI/CD pipelines, scripting, SQL querying, and onboarding databases into jSonar / Guardium. The engineer will also support production issues, change and release management, and platform stability as part of a global team.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis. For our W2 consultants, we offer a benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $65.00 to $68.00/hr W2
Responsibilities
Design, deploy, administer, and maintain database activity monitoring solutions for critical platforms.
Onboard cloud databases into the jSonar / Guardium platform.
Build and support DevOps automation and CI/CD pipelines.
Use GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, Python, and Shell scripting to automate manual tasks and support repeatable deployments.
Write and run SQL queries for validation, troubleshooting, and monitoring support.
Partner with product and engineering teams to understand requirements and turn them into technical solutions.
Support cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments.
Provide production support including incident, change, and release management.
Participate in a global on-call rotation to help ensure platform availability and stability.
Follow enterprise standards, processes, and procedures for technology lifecycle management.
Experience Requirements
Must Have Skills
AWS/cloud deployment experience, ideally with Terraform.
DevOps automation experience with Jenkins, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong SQL querying plus Shell scripting and Python.
Hands-on jSonar or Guardium experience — this is required.
Nice to Have Skills
Azure DSPM (data security posture management)
Splunk
OpenTelemetry / OTel experience, especially in cloud observability, logging, metrics, and tracing.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
