Your Next Step in Asheville Key Information Company: Amazon Worksite: Asheville, NC (Local Candidate Preferred) Pay Rate: $19-$23/Hour (approx. $22.1k/Year) Benefits: Employee discounts and perks (where applicable). Join a friendly Asheville team with flexible shifts. This role focuses on your professional skills with a schedule that fits your life. Flexible Role: Inventory Control Associate (Part-Time) This Asheville -based role is an excellent opportunity for professionals skilled in customer service . Our Amazon team in Asheville, NC is growing. Benefit from working in Asheville , a key hub for the Warehousing industry. The Guardians of Data Accuracy In a fulfillment center containing tens of millions of products, data accuracy is the absolute foundation of the entire operation. If the computer says we have an item, but it isn't physically on the shelf, the customer experience breaks down. This is where the Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) team steps in. As an Inventory Control Associate , you are the auditor of the warehouse. This unique subset of Amazon warehouse jobs is perfect for highly analytical, detail-obsessed individuals looking to forge elite logistics careers . The ICQA Mission While pickers and packers are judged on their sheer speed, ICQA associates are judged on one metric alone: perfect, uncompromising accuracy. You will spend your day utilizing advanced scanners and problem-solving software to ensure the digital database perfectly mirrors the physical reality of the robotic storage pods. Systematic Cycle Counting: You will perform continuous, rigorous counts of random inventory bins. You will empty entire compartments, scan every single barcode, and verify the physical count against the expected system count to identify shrinkage or overages. Defect Investigation (Problem Solve): When a picker marks an item as "missing," it generates a ticket for you. You will play detective, searching adjacent bins, auditing recent stow records, and physically hunting down the lost inventory before the customer order is delayed. Safety & Quality Audits: You will routinely inspect the robotic pods for quality defects, such as overstuffed bins that could fall and jam the robots, or hazardous materials (like cleaning chemicals) that are improperly stored next to food products. Exceptional Perks for Exceptional Accuracy Because ICQA requires a deep understanding of Amazon's proprietary inventory systems, this role is a highly proven stepping-stone into corporate data analytics, IT support, and operations management. Amazon supports your ambition with our world-class benefits: Day 1 medical, dental, and vision insurance, up to 20 weeks of paid parental leave, a robust 401(k) match, and free college tuition via the Career Choice program. Join us and become the brain of the fulfillment center. #J-18808-Ljbffr
