Opportunity Overview IT Software Developer Analyst Level 2 Contract 6 Months Palm Beach Gardens, FL - 100% Onsite We do not offer per diem or relocation assistance, so we will ask you to live within a drivable distance of Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Your Day-to-Day We're looking for a database-focused analyst with SQL (PostgreSQL) experience reviewing code to find and address potential issues and defects. You'll manage, and audit databases, partner with your team to gather requirements, and help ensure our data is accurate, reliable, and usable. Main Responsibilities Maintain, update, and audit relational databases (PostgreSQL), ensuring accuracy, consistency, and traceability. Write and improve SQL queries, including multi-table joins, aggregations, and validation checks. Perform data quality checks, reconcile discrepancies, and document causes and fixes. Build Excel-based audit tools (pivots, lookups, Power Query where applicable) for reporting and verification. Partner with internal users to gather requirements, challenge unclear requests, and translate our needs into data definitions and logic. Create documentation: table definitions, field mappings, audit results, and change logs. Support process improvements and controls around data updates, permissions, and governance. Who You Are SQL experience, including PostgreSQL (or equivalent with an ability to ramp quickly). Experience with relational database fundamentals (keys, constraints, normalization concepts, data integrity). Demonstrated experience updating, and auditing datasets/databases. Advanced Excel skills (filters, pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, data validation; Power Query). Demonstrated experience performing data audits and documenting findings, remediation steps, and outcomes (repeatable and traceable work). Comfortable managing ambiguous requests and independently questioning partners to gather requirements and confirm data definitions before building. Can explain logic and assumptions to all kinds of partners. Show experience approaching a problem from different angles, analyzing pros and cons of different solutions, asking why, identifying risks and edge cases, and proposing better approaches rather than implementing blindly. Experience investigating inconsistencies, asking probing questions, and validating assumptions. Nice-to-Have Qualifications Mechanical or engineering background/familiarity (or experience supporting engineering/asset-heavy environments). Familiarity with AVEVA PI (PI System / PI Data Archive / PI Vision) or time-series data concepts. Familiarity with IBM Maximo (asset management / work orders / equipment hierarchies). Familiarity with AWS (RDS, S3, Athena/Glue, IAM concepts, basic cloud data patterns). Experience being a BA: independently gathering requirements, defining acceptance criteria, mapping data sources to outputs. Familiarity with tools like Quest (e.g., Toad) or data access/auditing tools. Benefits Comprehensive Health and Income Protection Benefits 401(k) Savings Plan Paid Vacations for Qualifying Positions We estimate the base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon review of qualifications, to be $45/hour to $50/hour. #J-18808-Ljbffr
