Roles & Responsibilities:
Use appropriate programming language and technology, writes code, completes programming and documentation, performs testing and debugging of applications for the enterprise.
Provide technical and analytical input /guidance to project team and assist developers regarding project architecture and application programming practices.
Manages individual projects and works as an individual contributor; is responsible for completing projects within allotted timeline.
Assists with definition of project scope and objectives, as well as provides technical architecture input and coordinates programming practices of a project team and identifies resource needs.
Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates and status reports.
Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
Ensures adherences to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.
Technical Skills
Java/J2EE, REST services, Cassandra, MongoDB, Kafka, Redis, Git, Jira, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure
6+ years of experience in architecture and design of systems using Microservices architecture.
4+ years of experience in a leadership capacity - coaching and mentoring junior engineers.
3+ years of experience in any cloud technologies: AWS, Azure, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Chef or Terraform
4+ years of experience in build and CICD technologies: GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Sonar
4+ years of experience in Unit and Function testing using Junit, Spock, Mockito/JMock, Selenium, Cucumber, SoapUI or Postman
Proficiency in Unix/Linux command line
Expert knowledge and experience working with asynchronous message processing, stream processing and event driven computing.
Experience working within Agile/Scrum/Kanban development team.
Familiarity with HTML5, JavaScript frameworks, and CSS3
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to present complex technical information in a clear manner to peers, developers, and senior leaders.
Education: Bachelors Degree
