Metropolitan Family Services is seeking a full‑time Job Developer to support our Howard & Evanston Community Center. Salary: $44,000 – $51,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Essential Job Functions Develop and foster professional relationships with employers, placement agencies, and temporary agencies to secure job leads for clients. Continuously outreach to job seekers ready for employment. Assist with job readiness training and job search support. Create individual employment plans outlining client objectives. Help clients obtain permanent, unsubsidized jobs in high‑demand industries. Recommend design and development of employment service marketing programs. Present to businesses in the community to promote services and generate new jobs. Facilitate Job Clubs with guest speakers and employers on career development and job‑related topics. Collaborate with Career Coaches to provide retention support. Work within contract, grant, and program requirements, meeting timelines and reporting obligations. Collaborate with program staff in planning and implementation of services. Take increasing responsibility for own professional development. Work effectively with diverse staff and service populations. Provide exceptional customer service. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Highly organized. Knowledge of Excel for tracking economic self‑sufficiency data. Availability to work one Saturday and at least one late night per month. Ability to secure employment verification with employers. Qualifications High school diploma with 7+ years of employer outreach, sales, marketing or related experience. At least 3+ years of training or demonstrated experience in a related area. Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business, social science, communications, or related field preferred. Three years of training or experience in a related area preferred. Mobility to work with community‑based caseload preferred. General knowledge of job trends and labor market preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Additional Requirements Pass all relevant screenings and criminal background checks. Travel/Transportation Requirements Driving required with personally owned vehicle; travel between sites required. Physical Demands Sitting and standing for sustained periods, frequent speaking, touch tasks, occasional bending and kneeling. Requires close visual acuity for data analysis and computer use. Benefits Medical coverage, dental coverage, and vision coverage. Metropolitan Family Services contributions of $2,000 to individual and $4,000 to family HSA accounts, prorated to start date.
