Software Developer(Java) Duration: 30 Months Start Date: 07/20/2026 Location: 500 Balltown Road, Schenectady, NY 12304 Position Type: Contract No. of Hours- 40 hrs/Week Candidate must be local and must have previous State, Federal or other government client experience Key Responsibilities This position supports several OPWDD Java web applications including Division of Quality Improvement (DQIA) application. In addition, all new work involving design, development, testing and implementation of an application throughout the System Development Life Cycle. The position will also be expected to pro Responsibilities Design and create scripts for databases Design, develop, maintain and enhance Java applications Test Applications Create and maintain documentation Assist with implementation and ITSM incidents Education Details 84 months experience programming server-side Java web applications in a multi-tier environment using JDK 1.5 or higher 60 months experience writing queries, stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers in Oracle 10g or higher. 48 months development experience in database design and object creation/modification of databases consisting of 20 or more tables in Oracle 10g or higher 48 months programming experience with Java Server Faces 36 months programming experience with Java Persistence API 36 months experience with JavaScript/JQuery
