" What makes you a strong candidate: You are proficient in Property damage claims handling, Legal research, Legal drafting, Case management. ** English ** - Conversational Responsibilities and more: Insurance Litigation Associate Attorney – First-Party Property Damage Litigation Location: Miami, FL (Hybrid) Job Type: Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our First-Party Property Damage Division. The ideal candidate will have experience handling residential and commercial property insurance disputes from pre-suit through litigation and will be comfortable managing an active caseload with the support of an experienced legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is looking to develop their litigation skills, take ownership of cases, and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Manage a caseload of first-party property damage claims from inception through resolution. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents. Conduct legal research and prepare case strategy. Take and defend depositions. Attend hearings, mediations, and court conferences. Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and insurance adjusters. Work closely with paralegals and legal assistants to efficiently move cases forward. Negotiate settlements and prepare cases for trial. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active membership in The Florida Bar in good standing. 1–5+ years of litigation experience, preferably in first-party property insurance litigation. Experience handling discovery, depositions, hearings, and mediations preferred. Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills. Excellent organizational and case management abilities. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the litigation team. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Florida property insurance litigation. Trial experience is a plus.
