*Mainframe Developer (COBOL / DB2) - US Bank* *Contract | 6 Months * *Hybrid (3 Days Onsite Required) * *This role is only available as a W2 contract position. We are not able to engage candidates on a C2C or 1099 basis for this opportunity.* *Overview* We are actively hiring *Mainframe Developers* to support a large-scale initiative with US Bank focused on *reducing technical debt and modernizing core systems*. This is a funded effort with strong visibility, and the team is expanding to accelerate delivery across key projects. These roles offer a mix of *new development, system enhancements, and ongoing application support* - not just maintenance work. *Key Responsibilities* * Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications using *COBOL, DB2, and VSAM* * Participate in the full SDLC (requirements, design, development, testing, deployment) * Collaborate with product teams and technical SMEs to translate business needs into solutions * Contribute to both *new feature development and existing system improvements* * Support agile team activities (stand-ups, sprint planning, etc.) * Partner with offshore teams as needed (may include occasional early meetings) *Required Qualifications* * Recent, hands-on experience as a *Mainframe Developer* * Strong expertise in: * COBOL * DB2 * VSAM * JCL * Experience working in a development-focused (not solely support) environment * Strong communication and collaboration skills *Preferred Qualifications* * Experience with *CICS* * Experience with *Git / GitLab* * Background in *financial services or credit card systems* *Work Schedule & Requirements* * *Hybrid:* Must work onsite *3 days per week* * Must be able to work onsite in *one of the following locations*: * San Francisco, CA * Cupertino, CA * Irving, TX * Atlanta, GA * Earth City, MO * Chicago, IL * Hopkins, MN * Minneapolis, MN * Englewood, CO * Brookfield, WI * Gresham, OR * Charlotte, NC *Why Join* * Opportunity to work on *high-impact modernization initiatives* * Exposure to *large-scale enterprise systems* * Collaborative, fast-moving environment with strong team support *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $58.00/hr.
