We know that it is our people who differentiate us in our chosen field of materials evaluation.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the facility's equipment and infrastructure. This role includes but is not limited to performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on both Laboratory and Machine Tool equipment. This position ensures equipment is kept in operating condition by conducting routine inspections, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and maintaining detailed service records. This position supports production continuity and compliance with aerospace standards by minimizing downtime and contributing to equipment reliability and calibration efforts.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Perform and oversee routine maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.Ensure all equipment and systems are in good working condition.Schedule and conduct preventive maintenance to avoid equipment failures.Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and services.Perform routine preventive maintenance on Laboratory and Machine Tool equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and software-related issues affecting equipment functionality.Install, modify, and replace both Laboratory and Machine Tool equipment components as needed to support production requirements.Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment issues in compliance with aerospace standards.Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements while working in a Laboratory/Machine Tool environment.Collaborate effectively with technicians, machinists, engineers, and OEMs to support efficient production and equipment reliability.Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance maintenance processes and machine performance.This job description in no way implies that the duties listed here are the only ones the employee can be required to perform. The employee is expected to perform other tasks as dictated by their manager or supervisor.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or equivalentStrong knowledge of maintenance procedures and equipment.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and software-related issues on Laboratory and Machine Tool equipment.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.Ability to lift to 75 lbs.
