Are you ready to own something big? Automox is turning IT admins into IT heroes by replacing traditional tools with our award‑winning cloud‑native endpoint management platform. Our product works autonomously and so do our teams. We value a "one team" mentality where everyone’s unique skills contribute to an environment that encourages collaboration and ownership. At Automox you’re enabled to do your best work, grow your career, and have an impact that will be noticeable. WE ARE A_TOMOX… all that’s missing is U! The Manager, IT at Automox runs and does the work of IT Operations. You will lead a small team, but you are expected to own meaningful technical scope yourself across endpoints, identity, and SaaS. You report directly to the CTO and partner closely with DevOps, Security, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales. You will be a daily power user of Automox and a primary internal feedback loop to Product and Engineering. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING Operate as a player‑coach. Carry your own queue of endpoint, identity, and SaaS work alongside the team. Own endpoint management end to end across macOS and Windows. Drive MDM enrollment, configuration, patch compliance through Automox, hardware lifecycle, and zero‑touch provisioning. Own identity and access in Okta. Lifecycle provisioning and deprovisioning, group design, MFA enrollment and recovery, and access reviews on the cadence Security requires. Own SaaS administration across the company’s stack including Google Workspace, GitHub, 1Password, AWS account‑level access, and the long tail of business SaaS. License rationalization is a continuous responsibility, not a yearly fire drill. Mentor IT Engineers and Helpdesk through code review of scripts and Worklets, on‑call coverage, and structured 1:1s. Set and track team KPIs covering ticket responsiveness, patch and MDM coverage, access review completion, and IT spend efficiency. Be a power user of Automox. File issues, request features, and serve as an internal feedback channel to Product and Engineering. WHAT YOU BRING 5+ years of hands‑on IT engineering in a SaaS or tech company, with at least 2 years leading a team. Current operating experience with Okta (or equivalent IdP), Google Workspace, GitHub org administration, AWS IAM, and modern MDM for macOS and Windows. Scripting fluency in PowerShell and bash. Python or TypeScript is a plus. Ability to read, review, and write automation that runs in production. A track record of automating manual work and shrinking ticket backlogs, not just managing them. Comfort being the technical escalation point and the one who picks up the keyboard when the team is stuck. Compensation The salary range listed is the base pay range for this position. In addition, the total compensation package includes bonus, equity and benefits. Actual earnings may be less or more depending on a candidate’s direct experience, skills, industry knowledge, and location. $80,000 – $100,000 USD LOCATION We are a fully distributed company of remote employees. Note: We currently do not hire in California or New York metro. EMPLOYMENT AT AUTOMOX Must be able to pass a federal, state, and county background check. Complete a local in‑person verification. TOTAL REWARDS: Thrive with Us Equity for Full‑Time Employees Comprehensive Health Plans with generous employer contributions 100% Company‑paid Short‑Term and Long‑Term Disability and Life Insurance Company HSA Contribution: $100–$200 per month based on tier $500 Home office stipend Comprehensive Family Planning Covered on Meritian Medical Plan We are committed to an inclusive and diverse company.
