Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Manager of Technical Infrastructure Program Managers in Herndon or Arlington, VA, or Seattle, WA to oversee data center infrastructure expansion projects for U.S. Government customers. The manager will lead a team of Technical Infrastructure Program Managers (TIPMs) who will guide cross‑functional and technical teams from concept through design, budgeting, implementation, testing, and deployment. Key Job Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and grow a team of TIPMs responsible for delivering data center infrastructure programs at scale. Set team goals aligned with organizational priorities, develop individual growth plans, and build a high‑performance culture rooted in operational excellence and customer obsession. Oversee program success by managing capital budgets, eliminating non‑value‑add activity, designing solutions, removing blockers, and accelerating project delivery. Engage daily with cross‑functional leaders, partners, and stakeholders across multiple time zones to ensure alignment and timely delivery. Report program status and metrics to stakeholders, driving continuous improvement and maintaining clear communication channels. Collaborate with government customers to understand joint business goals and prioritize initiatives for the U.S. Government customer program. A Day in the Life Engage with multiple leaders of other teams daily to ensure program success and keep the business plan evolving to meet changing customer needs. Hire, develop, and mentor junior team members while reinforcing the AWS culture of excellence. About the Team The AWS Infrastructure Services team owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The team includes software, hardware, network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers who collaborate globally to deliver safety, security, and high capacity at the lowest possible cost. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of project management experience, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management. 4+ years of team management and performance experience. Strong communicator, both written and verbal, with skill in negotiation and influence without authority. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies throughout the project lifecycle. Experience with MS Office, MS Project, MS SharePoint; knowledge of Tableau, Kanban, Playbook, SQL and systems integration is a plus. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing technical infrastructure or data center deployments. Experience in tactical and strategic project management of highly technical initiatives. Additional Requirements US Citizen required with an active TS/SCI security clearance.
