Accomplish
You will contribute in the research, design, analysis, manufacture, and testing associated with aircraft Support Equipment.
Essential Functions
Mechanical design of test, measurement, and handling equipment used on military aircraft.
Gathering of data, requirements development, interfacing with suppliers, and performing basic stress and tolerance analysis.
Acting as manufacturing liaison during build process of your project to ensure overall quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achieved.
Development of test plans and performing environmental testing of Support Equipment.
Testing and integration of manufactured Support Equipment on aircraft.
Basic knowledge of design and analysis tools for mechanical design as well as basic drafting skills to include a working knowledge of solid modeling techniques (NX, Pro Engineer, or Catia).

This role may be offered as a Mechanical (Level 2) or Principal Mechanical (Level 3) Design Engineer*
Basic Qualifications — Mechanical Design Engineer
Bachelor's in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 2 years of experience in the design of mechanical and/or electro-mechanical subsystems; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 0 years of experience.
Experience using CAD software in generating detailed engineering drawings used for manufacturing of mechanical and/or electrical assemblies.
Must have an active DoD Secret or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
Basic Qualifications — Principal Mechanical Design Engineer
Bachelor's in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 5 years of experience in the design of mechanical and/or electro-mechanical subsystems; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline AND 3 years of experience; OR a PhD AND 1 year of experience.
Experience using CAD software in generating detailed engineering drawings used for manufacturing of mechanical and/or electrical assemblies.
Must have an active DoD Secret or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
Preferred Qualifications — All Levels
Experience using FEA software in performance of stress analysis of mechanical and/or electrical assemblies to include static and dynamic analysis to MIL-STD-810 requirements.
FAA A&P Certificate or equivalent aircraft maintenance background.
Experience developing manufacturing drawings to GD&T standards.

Salary and Benefits
Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline and may vary based on the scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience, education, and market conditions. Eligible employees may receive overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses. Benefits include health, life and disability insurance, savings plan, holidays, and PTO.
